Pupil premium (PP) funding is provided to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils.

At R.E.A.L. Independent Schools we do not automatically get PP for each child as we are commissioned through the local authority and the provision we provided is in itself an intervention ‘above the norm’ and therefore some funding is used to contribute to our provision at commissioner level.
