It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our RIS Ilkeston website. Open since September 2020, our school has been recently refurbished, both inside and outside and provides bespoke education for learners aged between 7 and 19. Close to open spaces, with the river Erewash meandering close by, this welcoming site is designed to provide flexible, bright, modern learning spaces for the delivery of a comprehensive selection of curriculum subjects. Our school offers externally accredited courses at a variety of levels, ranging from AIM Award to BTEC, GCSE and Functional Skills or to A level and vocational qualifications.
As Head of School it is a pleasure to work alongside a skilled, energetic and creative team who work hard to provide an individualised curriculum that excites our learners and fosters a love of learning. We have lots of exciting opportunities for our children and young people to help them achieve their potential and prepare them for adulthood, according to our mission statement that every child has a future.
